Habyt launches new flexible living space in Tanjong Pagar

A public tender to rent the real estate, now managed by the Singapore Land Authority (SLA), was introduced in September 2023. The tender was evaluated based on the bid price and the top quality of the proposed idea, and SLA encouraged bidders to consider inspired lifestyle ideas.

Habyt has recently launched a new accomodation space at 5 Kadayanallur Street in Tanjong Pagar. The 18-room Kada at Maxwell is the flagship place for the operator’s Habyt Flex concept, that represents a strategic broadening of the firm’s product offerings past long-term co-living.

“By blending modern benefits with the timeless appeal of a heritage building, we’re offering guests an unique lifestyle experience that surpasses traditional lodging,” includes Wong.

The versatile home lies within a preserved 1920s colonial building. The three-storey building, designed by the architectural firm Swan & Maclaren, was one of the oldest modernist buildings in Singapore. It was constructed to house the St Andrew’s Mission Hospital for Women and Children.

In August, Habyt Asia Pacific chief executive officer Jonathan Wong indicated that the firm was planning to add more short-term living choices to its local listing. The first real estates under the Habyt Flex idea are the 39-room Habyt Novena and the 27-room Habyt Kallang, both released in August. Other properties under the Habyt Flex concept include Habyt Cantonment and Owen Residence by Habyt.

The site was granted to Bethesda Medical, which sent a monthly rental proposal of $103,000, the third-highest quote cost after Wan Dormitory ($160,000) and The Working Capitol ($108,240).

Kada at Maxwell will offer a variety of openings, involving en suite studios and two- to three-bedroom units. Each unit has a fully equipped kitchen space. Guests can book rooms on a nightly or weekly basis, with a 12-month choice additionally offered.

SLA pointed out Bethesda’s solid emphasis on neighborhood building and connecting people with businesses as what gave its strategy the succeeding edge. The first floor will include 10 F&B offerings, while the second level will certainly house a gym by Limitless, a wellness center in collaboration with Shiruki Studio, and a co-working room. Habyt’s Kada at Maxwell is on the 3rd level.

Locals of Kada at Maxwell will enjoy infinite and free access to the property’s health and wellness facilities, including the performance fitness center, cold plunge, infrared saunas, jacuzzis and foot baths.

Wong states Habyt Kada at Maxwell speaks for the company’s dedication to redefining versatile living in Singapore and notes its change towards the upcoming step of growth for Habyt Asia Pacific. Room prices at Kada at Maxwell is going to start at $180 per night.
